Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for services provided by Catchy Clouds Creative LTD. ("Catchy Clouds", "we", "us", or "our"). It should be read alongside our Terms of Service and the specific agreement for your engagement. Where your signed agreement differs from this policy, the agreement takes precedence.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
1. The Nature of Our Services
SEO, AEO, and related services are performance-based professional services delivered over time. Much of the value, such as strategy, audits, technical work, content, and outreach, is delivered as work is carried out, and results typically build over weeks and months. For this reason, fees are charged for the work and time we commit, not for a guaranteed outcome.
2. Free Audit
Our free audit is provided at no cost and carries no obligation. As it is free, no payment and therefore no refund is involved.
3. Done-for-You Fix Plans
This section applies when you purchase the fixed-price fixes quoted in your audit report as a single one-off payment.
- Before work begins. If you cancel before we have started work and before we have requested or received access to your website, we refund your payment in full.
- After work has begun. Once we have started implementing the fixes, the fee covers the work carried out. If you cancel partway, we may retain a reasonable amount for work already performed and refund the remainder.
- On completion. Once the agreed fixes have been implemented and we have delivered your updated audit report, the work has been delivered in full and the fee is non-refundable.
- Scope changes. The fixed price assumes a site of the size detected during the scan. If your site turns out to be substantially larger or built in a way that materially changes the work, we will tell you before starting; you may proceed at a revised quote or receive a full refund.
- Results. We implement the issues identified and follow best practice, but we do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic, or AI citations, and results are not on their own a basis for a refund.
- Discounts and promotional codes. Where a founding-client discount or promotional code applied to your order, any refund is calculated on the amount actually paid, not the pre-discount price.
4. Do-It-Yourself Fix Plans
This section applies when you buy a do-it-yourself (DIY) fix plan — the tutorials, instructions, and ready-to-paste changes you apply to your own website.
A DIY fix plan is digital content delivered to you immediately, so at checkout we ask you to confirm you want access straight away. Once we have made the plan available to you, it has been delivered in full and is non-refundable, except for your statutory rights as a consumer or where the content is faulty or materially not as described.
If you have paid for a DIY fix plan but we have not yet made it available to you, you may cancel it for a full refund. If a plan is faulty, incomplete, or materially different from what was described, contact us and we will repair or replace it, or provide a refund, in line with your legal rights.
5. Project and Custom Engagements
For fixed-scope projects or custom engagements, payment terms, milestones, and any deposit are set out in your agreement. Deposits and payments for completed milestones are non-refundable, as they cover work already carried out and resources reserved for your project.
6. Press Release & Placement Orders
This section applies to our press release distribution packages and to custom placement orders built from our publication list, where you select individual outlets at per-placement prices.
6.1 Our publication guarantee
Every placement you order is guaranteed to be published. You are entitled to a remedy, per placement, if either of the following happens:
- The placement fails to go live. If a selected publication does not publish your article, we will first offer a replacement placement in an outlet of equivalent or higher authority (DA/DR) at no extra cost. If you prefer not to accept a replacement, we will refund the full price of that placement.
- The placement is significantly delayed. Each publication shows a maximum delivery time on its listing. If your article is not live within 14 days after that listed maximum (counted from your approval of the final draft), you may choose either a replacement placement or a full refund of that placement.
In multi-publication orders, remedies apply per placement: placements that have gone live remain payable, and any refund covers only the affected placements.
6.2 When the delivery clock starts
Delivery times run from the date you approve the final draft of your article, not from the date of payment. Time waiting for your brief, materials, feedback, or approval does not count towards the delivery time.
6.3 What is not refundable
- Published placements. Once an article is live at the agreed outlet, that placement has been delivered in full and is non-refundable.
- Change of mind after writing has begun. Work on your order (research, writing, outreach, scheduling) begins shortly after purchase. If you cancel before any writing or outreach has started, we will refund your order in full. Once work has begun but before publication, we may retain a reasonable portion covering work already performed and refund the remainder.
- Dissatisfaction with the draft. Every order includes revisions until you approve the article, so draft concerns are resolved through revisions rather than refunds.
- Editorial changes by the outlet. Publications may lightly edit headlines or copy to fit their style. This is normal editorial practice and not grounds for a refund.
- Results and performance. Rankings, traffic, AI citations, referral clicks, or sales resulting from a placement depend on factors outside our control and are not guaranteed; they are not grounds for a refund.
- Later removal or changes by the outlet. Placements on news platforms are typically permanent, but outlets control their own websites. If an outlet removes or alters an article after it has been live for 180 days or more, that is outside our control. If an article is removed within 180 days of publication, contact us and we will work in good faith to restore it, provide a replacement, or agree a fair resolution.
6.4 How press refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days of approval. Replacement placements are agreed with you in writing before we proceed.
7. Monthly & Recurring Plans
This section applies to any plan billed on a recurring basis, including monthly press plans and ongoing SEO/AEO retainers, where you are charged automatically each billing cycle until the plan is cancelled.
- Billing and renewal. Recurring plans are billed in advance at the start of each cycle and renew automatically for a further cycle until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal until you cancel.
- What each cycle covers. Each cycle pays for the deliverables set out in your plan for that cycle (for example, a set number of press placements, or an agreed scope of monthly work). Deliverables are provided within the cycle and, unless your plan states otherwise, do not roll over to later cycles if unused.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it takes effect at the end of your current paid cycle, and you keep access to that cycle's deliverables until it ends. To avoid the next charge, please cancel at least [3] days before your renewal date.
- Refunds within a cycle. Once a cycle has started and we have begun that cycle's work, the fee for the current cycle is generally non-refundable, as it covers work committed and resources reserved. If no work on the cycle has begun, we will refund that cycle in full. We do not provide partial or pro-rata refunds for unused time in a cycle unless required by law or agreed in writing.
- Press placements within a plan. Placements delivered under a recurring plan are covered by the same publication guarantee in Section 6: if a placement fails to go live or is significantly delayed, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund for that placement.
- Pausing. Where we offer a pause option, its terms will be confirmed in writing. A paused plan does not accrue new deliverables while paused.
- Price changes. We may change recurring plan prices for future cycles. We will give you reasonable notice before a price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies if you do not wish to continue.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may pause delivery until payment is resolved. Cycles already delivered remain payable.
8. When We May Offer a Refund
Beyond the press guarantee above, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial or full refund where:
- We have failed to deliver an agreed service through our own fault and are unable to put it right within a reasonable time.
- You were charged in error, for example a duplicate or incorrect invoice.
- A refund is required under applicable consumer protection law.
Dissatisfaction with rankings, traffic, or other results, which depend on factors outside our control, is not on its own a basis for a refund, as we do not guarantee specific outcomes.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or raise a billing concern, email us at with your name, the service in question, the invoice or payment reference (and for press orders, the publication concerned), and the reason for your request. We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to resolve them fairly and promptly.
10. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may be treated as a breach of our Terms of Service.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order.
